Red Mountain Machinery Company began with a simple mission: to use the highest ethical standards in providing quality heavy equipment services for mutual growth and benefit for all.
Owner and President Owen Cowing still believes this today. From humble beginnings working out of his home to a thriving business with corporate offices based in Chandler, Arizona Red Mountain Machinery Company has built a reputation for providing the highest quality, best maintained earthmoving equipment in the business.

| 1986 | Owen, wife Linda and "Fred the Mechanic" begin RMMC out of their home with some borrowed money and an old GMC Jimmy |
| 1988 | Fully incorporated company based in Chandler, Arizona Began renting out contractor owned equipment |
| 1989 | Moved to first offices - a rented trailer with a rented lot. Purchased first piece of company owned equipment a 613 Water Wagon |
| 1990 | Moved to current offices in Chandler, Arizona with full mechanic shop, cleaning bays, yard, corporate offices, classrooms and heavy haul service |
| 1991 | Began to systematically build business, purchase equipment and grow. Purchased first of multiple- D10s |
| 1995 | Published first Red Mountain Machinery Company News Letter, “The Inside Track,” providing company information, education and contractor profiles |
| 1996 | Provided equipment for Sedona, Napenthe and Mc Dowell Mountain Ranch projects |
| 1997 | Provided equipment for Miramar Naval Air Station and Saddlebrook Retirement Community projects. |
| 1999 | Helped to “rebuild” Solano Beach, Solano Beach, California |
| 2000 | Founded Red Mountain Machinery Company training programs offering courses and certification in- Diesel Mechanics, A/C, Cooling System Trouble Shooting, Low Power Diagnostics and Machine Electronics |
| 2001 | Red Mountain Machinery Company Education program logs 1700 hours of instruction for its employees |
| 2004 | Yuma Waste Water Treatment Plant and San Marcos Housing Tract projects and launched first company Website |
| 2005 | Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Training Center project- Twenty-nine Palms, California |
| 2006 | Twentieth Anniversary, Saddleback Church and Wildcat Canyon Road projects |
| 2007 | Lake Pleasant Water Transmission Line |
| 2008 | Highway 87 Emergency repair and Riverside Highway 215/60/91 projects |
